Clinical Supervision for MFT & MHC Registered Interns in Florida
Mental health does not exist in isolation. Our relationships, families, experiences, environments, and individual differences all influence how we think, feel, communicate, and function. Effective therapy and evaluation require looking beyond individual symptoms to understand the person and the larger context of their life.
That perspective is the foundation of Vann Counseling & Consulting.
Heather Vann is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with more than a decade of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her work is grounded in family systems theory and informed by neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and relational approaches. This means looking at the whole picture, including individual strengths and challenges, relationships, developmental experiences, environment, and the patterns that may be contributing to current concerns.
Whether providing individual or family therapy, completing an ADHD or Autism evaluation, helping couples better understand patterns within their relationship, or supervising developing clinicians, services are collaborative, individualized, and grounded in respect for each person’s experiences and goals.
Individuals. Relationships. Families.
Individuals deserve the opportunity to better understand themselves, their experiences, and what they need to function well in their everyday lives.
Relationships are strengthened when people better understand their own patterns, communication styles, needs, and the experiences each person brings to the relationship.
Families benefit from support that considers the family as a whole while recognizing the individual strengths, needs, and perspectives of each family member.
Every service at Vann Counseling & Consulting is grounded in an understanding that people are individuals and also part of larger relationship, family, and community systems.

Heather Vann practices through two separate professional entities: Heather Vann Counseling & Consulting and Vann Mediation & Resolution Services. The Family Court division of Vann Counseling & Consulting is now Vann Mediation & Resolution Services, a separate practice providing Social Investigations, Guardian ad Litem services, Parenting Coordination, Family Mediation, Divorce Coaching, and professional consultation throughout Florida.
Each practice serves a distinct function and operates under different ethical and legal standards. Services provided through one practice do not establish a professional relationship within the other practice. To avoid conflicts of interest and preserve professional integrity, clients may receive services through only one practice.
